TargetScheme
I've ceased development of the SuperWaba version of TargetScheme, as Java annoys me and time is tight. I have a WM6 device now, so a native version of TargetScheme for this device is in the works. Watch this space.
23/8/2007 - TargetScheme-0.52a released
You can get it here
You can see the release notes here
Changelog is available here
Intro
TargetScheme is an open source PDA application designed to help you keep track
of your scores.
Feature list
Feature list as it currently stands:
- Group plotting
- Automatic scoring
- Group centre plotting
- Dumping of scores to memory card
When will it be released?
TargetScheme alpha build has been released, it's at the Works For Me(tm) stage.
What platforms does TargetScheme support?
TargetScheme is written in the SuperWaba variant of Java; as such, it should run on any device SuperWaba supports.
I own a Palm Zire 71 - as such I can only really test on that device, and hence have only released a palm binary. If you have a symbian or windows mobile device, feel free to get in touch and we can test a symbian / windows mobile build.
What license is TargetScheme released under?
TargetScheme is released under the GNU General Public License. This means you do not have to pay me any money for TargetScheme, but at the same time support / development is on a spare-time-only basis
What do I need to run TargetScheme?
- A SuperWaba supported PDA. See The SuperWaba install page
- The SuperWaba VM installed on your PDA. See link above.
- The TargetScheme.prc and TargetScheme.pdb files
Who are you?
I'm Ewan Oughton. Archer, coder, Linux zealot, general annoyance. You can email me at ewan@GUESSWHATHASTOBEREMOVED.skynet.YEAHTHISTOO.ie, but only if you're not a spammer.
Why are you releasing this as open source?
I did it for the chicks. Also, the terms of the SuperWaba license agreement(the free version) states any software I write with it must be released under the GPL.
Why "TargetScheme"?
There is commercial software that does what I wanted, but I was feeling cheap and creative, a dangerous mix. Hence TargetScheme was born.
